California trip March 2010

Well to start things off we had the time of our lives! We enjoyed every minute. Oops... except one minute on 'Day 3' of our trip when Ryan was looking at the pics on our camera and accidently deleated all the pictures of our trip so far. So here is the written recap:
Left Thursday night after work and drove to the Jewett resort in Henderson. Thank you Mom and Dad for a great stay! Got up early Friday morning and headed to CA. 1st stop... Temecula. Had a delicious lunch at Oscars on the Pond. The weather was so warm we ate out on the patio. We drove the kids by where we used to live and their old school. We love and treasure our time and memories of Temecula. Next, off to Carlsbad! The flower fields are in bloom so we had to stop and take pictures. The pictures turned out beautiful but unfortunattly were erased, yikes! We met up with our awesome friends John, Anne, Madison & Sarah. We went to the beach. It was beautiful and just so nice to be there with our friends. The kids swam and had a blast. Literally! Then we went to a yummy dinner and visited till late. Saturday morning, bright and early off to Lori, Jeff and Cole's. Wow, there home is so amazing and they cooked us the most delicious breakfast on the beach. We went on a walk on the pier and it was so much fun. Ry was a little scared at first on the pier. This made me sad cuz the beach is my home and my Ryan had not been in so long he felt nervous. I love the beach soooooo much! Next, we went to see Grandma DeVries and Aunt Glenna. This was one of our favorite parts of the trip. We miss them terribly in our daily lives and could not wait to get our arms around them and hug them! We talked about what was going on in our lives right now and what is keeping us busy. Then we talked about all of the amazing memories we share together. Next, off to the park to see Cousins and Aunts. This is right after the pictures had been erased so I was a little grumpy at first. But we loved seeing all the family that we love and miss so much. We really love Utah now but we really struggle with not seeing our family often. All of the kids have grown up so much, it was so fun to see everyone and I just felt so loved. I just wish we had LOTS more time!
Now, back to Orange County and have dinner with Marlene and Jim & Samantha, Polly's Pies... one of my favorite resturants YUM!

Happy Valentines Day!(one week late)
I do realize it has been a while since I have posted and espically posted something happy but we had such an incredible valentines day I just wanted to make sure to document it!We celebrated on Saturday because Rich was off work. Yes, We were ALL home on a Saturday together. It was amazing. We did all of our chores on Friday so when we woke up there was nothing pressing. We all slept in. Then we stayed in our jammies and went to the donut store (thank goodness they have a drive-through)We played our new game for the WII. 'Just Dance" it is a blast! I am very out of shape and I have many places that have an extra wiggle, but we love competing against each other. Ryan, Rich and Tyler's favorite song is 'Eye of the Tiger.' They get to do a boxing routine. I am the champion of 'Step by Step' by New Kids on the Block. (I know kind of weird but its fun.) Kelsey is definetly the best at 'Hot and Cold' by Katy Perry. Then we decided to have pizza delivered to the house. We have not had pizza delivery to the house in years. Then more laughing to the point of being sick, game playing and some napping too. In the evening we went to Tyler's basketball game and then out to Red Robin for dinner. Wow, lots of junk food today so thank goodness we can dance off some calories at home! Then we watched the olympics together...Go Apollo! Very exciting! I am just so grateful for my family. We have been through a lot this year with the loss of our baby and then expanding our business to 5 stores. But we made it through and we did it together! I love my family so much I cant even think of the right words except, I Love you Rich,I Love you Tyler,I love you Kelsey, I Love you Ryan. You are all amazing and I am so blessed!
